Weekend is a perfect time to experiment and do something more complex or different than our daily weekdays routine. I always appreciate it as the best moment to spend more time with my family, having fun, and cook something special for them.

For today’s recipe, I will use a fish as my main ingredient (again!). Hmm looks like my cooking ideas just revolve around the fish lately ![]()
Anyway, this recipe will require the ingredients prepared based on these earlier posts:
Do check them out if you haven’t done so.
Okay now, let’s get started!
Ingredients
- 2 Fish Fillets
- 2 sliced Celery Stems
- 1 sliced Onion
- 1 chopped carrot
- 2 oz Fish stock
- Corn starch – dissolved in warm water
- Salt & Pepper
Let’s Start Cooking!
- Season the Fish Fillets with Salt & Pepper.
- Sauté the Fish Fillets until browned. Set aside.
- Toss in the Celery, Onion and Carrot and sauté them until fragrant.
- Pour the Fish Stock in and deglaze the pan on a medium high heat.
- Remove the Celery, Onion and Carrot into the serving plate. The vegetables should be slightly firm.
- Add in the dissolved Corn Starch to make the sauce thicker. Stir until your desired consistency.
- Correct seasoning.
- Pour the sauce onto the dish just before serving.
