Drinking Beer Could Help Prevent Weak Bones?

beer It is interesting to find that some studies have been done to prove that drinking beer would help to prevent osteoporosis.

I found this article titled ‘Drinking beer could help prevent weak bones’ today at Digg.com which is so popular that it has nearly 400 Diggs (at this moment). Honestly, I don’t believe in the headline but as an open minded person, I just give it a quick read through.

Actually, it says that not all beer would contribute to this healthy effect. This only applies to beers made out of wheat. So, the title should goes like this: “Drinking certain types of beer could help prevent weak bones”, right?

It’s also stated there that low quantities of alcohol intakes may gives positive benefits to bones while high intakes may reduce the bone strength. The question is, how many people have the will power to limit their alcohol consumption once they started to drink?

From my personal opinion, I think this ‘Drinking beer could help prevent weak bones’ is just an excuse to continue the drinking habit. What do you reckon?
